Default Headlight Upgrade needed

So what did you do to upgrade your headlights?
These stock ones suck.

I went with the H4 IPF headlights. They weren't too expensive and they have plenty of bulb options. I got them From GBR.

They are absolutely awesome. We have them on every one of our Series, and Range Rovers, the way they fit in the buckets is perfect. I haven't had any problems with them.

I got mine from Bill at Great Basin. And no, you don't need to modify the harness until you start getting higher wattage bulbs like 100/130's. I am not sure about the silverstars, I haven't really looked at them. I am running the IPF white max 55/60. And I love every everything about that setup

I like the IPF's more, my uncle has the hellas on his 85 and they get some moisture build up sometimes. But, I like the way the IPF's put out the light. It might be just me, but I think the beams are different. So whichever. But I would go IPF.

OKIEROVER.....
I am not certain if your headlights are similar to the DII. In my case I found the white Sylvania bulbs at Discount Auto (or Pep Boys) were a nice improvement over stock.....Hope this helps.

For those of you that might have a D2 and want more light, buy a set of Hella H4 85/100, they are so much better then the 55/65 from the factory and are close enough to legal that noone will say anything. Hey at $12 a piece they are great and no wiring is needed.

This was indeed for my RRC.
I guess it's IPF H4's from Great Basin.
Thanks.

Cibie inserts are an excellent light. If you want to upgrade globes as well, go for IPF X51 H4 globes.

Whilst you might be able to run these combinations of inserts and bulbs with your current wiring, I reckon upgrading your wiring loom with a heavier guage wire and some relays is worth the little money and effort involoved even with the original candle sticks will burn brighter.
