First order a set of H4 type lamp and bulb. Hella, IPF, etc make a kit.
Second Lever up the metal strips holding the plastic grill in place, remove grille. Third remove 3 screws and the retaining ring comes off and the old bulb will come out. Unplug and remove. Install new bulbs in the new lamps plug in and reverse procedure. The other two screws are for aiming the light up/down and R/L.

I did these 7" hella e-codes....I like them, at first I was disappointed, but then I checked the aiming and the things were pointing way up, after getting them zero'd in, they are pretty nice. My next job will be to put in relays and go to 65/100 watt bulbs - near stock on the dipped beams, but brighter high beams.

Thanks guys. I went to Advance auto parts and got a 7 inch non sealed lens and H4 bulbs. These lenses had a extra bulb that I tied into my parking bulbs so there is a soft glow on the bulbs when the parking lights are on. Very Disco ish. It looks so Bad Ass and are a hell of a lot brighter than the old bulbs.

Cool, I didn't know that places like Advance sold the unsealed lenses. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they cost? I like the ones with the city light in them, that's what I got also....very nice around dawn or dusk or when parking....plus it looks very nice.
The ones at the link I posted weren't cheap - I paid around $100 for two hella E-codes w/city light and two hella +2 bulbs...but they do put more light on the road, the sharp cut-off takes some getting used to, they definately don't light up old/unreflective street signs as well as the DOT, but newer street signs seem fine. I actually paid 14 dollars a piece and then had a set of H4 bulbs from my HID conversion. I think all in all, I spent about 40 bucks (lens, bulbs, wire) for the whole thing and it is a hell of a lot better than the stock ones.

Yeah I got out of the woods tonight and the lights are a lot better than the old ones but they are still not bright enough. What is the normal wattage for a RRC and what is the highest I can go on a H4 bulb. Also when other people where changing their lights did the plastic on the connectors just crumble for anyone else?

I think the stock wattage is something like 55/65 watts for low/high - not sure how high you want to push it on the stock wiring - don't want to melt wires or have a fire.
I had considered doing something like 55W/100W or 65W/100W. BUT, if your connectors are that bad, it might not be a bad idea to put a voltmeter on the leads with the lights on and see what kind of voltage your getting to the bulbs and compare that to your voltage at your battery - just a couple volt drop has a big effect on the perceived brightness of the bulb, you might consider rewiring, or at least wire in a couple of relays and feed power straight from the battery - use the old wires to control the relays - somewhere I've seen schematics for it. In fact, ARB I think sells a plug-n-play kit for relays, I think its like $90 or so though - might be money well spent - I'm not sure if RRC's use a relay or just feed power through the headlamp switch, but higher wattage bulbs could burn it out and those are like $60 or so to replace. I think I'll do the relay trick at some point and then go to something like 65/100W. *Edit - IPF has a plug n play harness for ~$80 and then I found this one for ~$36, but its on backorder.....LOL http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-23754.cfm Steve
