Default Headliner Replacement For Rrc Lwb

i am going to replace the fabric on my headliner in a month or 2. i have read alot about the headliner (rangerover.net and ect). i would like to know were u could buy the fabric and foam for the RRC and what spray glue has others used that worked good for them. also, i would like to know if anyone has any good tips that they found while taking out the headliner, spraying, and ect. i read that you have to take the spare tire out and pull it out from the back, slightly bending the headliner so it does not make a seam in it. thank for your time. aaron

You can get aftermarket replacements. A lot easier.

Use 3M adhesive spray!
Make sure you spray the adhesive on both the headliner and headliner board to get the best hold, but be sure before hand that you know how you are going to place it down because once it sticks its not easy to pull up and move... get some help when you are ready to place it on with the glue...

Also, after you spray one way its a good idea to spray again the opposite of your first spray.
Oh, and dont get too anxious about installing it back in, let it sit for the night just to be sure since hopefully you wont ever have to take it out again.

Oh, and make sure you get all the Old adhesive off of the headliner board use a soft brush or scrub sponge (something lightly abrasive) to get it off but not to damage the board.

thanks for all the pic's and info from all. it will help out alot!! okie rover did u think 3 or 4 yard would be enough fabric for your LWB? did u leave the tape on the headliner or take it off and spay glue before u put the headliner back on the rover? i found a acouple of web sites that only sell headliners and ect. WLS headliners and auto headliners, they said they could send samples of fabric and sold glue (3M hi tack 76, which i read was one of the best). has anyone used online services to buy headliners from? let me know which ones were good. thanks again. this well be a fun project once it warms on in MN (48 right now!!)

I know it was 3 yards. I think I bought 3.5 just for giggles. I have a chunk left over so something tells me I bought 3.5 yards.

I left the tape on the top side there. I figured what the heck it'll be out of sight and would keep the form from getting hung up.

I don't know what the other headline service cost but I only had just barely 60$ in mine when I was done.
