Default Heater core repair

Can anyone describe the heater core repair?
I know it is blown as the cab filled with steam when I was loosing the head gaskets. I will need to replace/repair it and wondered if anyone has already been through it and could give me some tips.

Thanks a bunch.

man was that an intense job.

had to rip the whole dash out to get at the thing. Is very doable though. Just can be a little frustrating at times. And I now have great heat!

Yeah sorry. That's the only one I took. If you have a workshop manual that helps. We were able to do it in a weekend. This was during the winter (fan failed and I was virtually without heat for about a month).

Mine is a leak caused by the over pressured system.
I will probably start mine in September or early October.
It gets too hot to work in the truck during the summer.

I also have a leak down the right side wall in side the cab. So I'll be able to find that when I get started.
