OK, so when it was real cold out these past few weeks, my heater would work when the engine was at operating temp. and when I was cruising, RPMS around 1500-2000. Although when I come to a stop at a redlight, the heater spits out cold air. When I get moving again she warms up rather quickly. When I am at idle she will do the same thing, no heat, just cold air. What would cause this? I hope it ain't a clogged heater core, and I hope it would be a water pump not functioning.
Secondly, yesterday, my truck wouldn't start during mid day hours. Turns out the truck was getting spark, plenty of air (I decided to disconnect the snorkel for daily use), and fuel. I checked for bad plugs, wires, etc.. Everything checked out. Turns out the engine flooded quite a bit. Why would she flood out like she did? Was it because of temp difference? The night before got to around 20 degrees, and then the following day it got up to 60 degrees. Everything is better, but the heater has me slightly worried, and the brief no start baffled me. Thanks guys. ![]()

yeah, it was low on coolant, so I topped that off. And yeah I was rather low on fuel that night. But now she seems to be doing fine. But i will check out that temp sensor. Although the guage reads the temp normally as the motor warms up.
