Unhappy Help!

Anyone...

When you turn the lights ON in a Ranger Rover County 1990 -
Do you flip the switch forward (up) or backward (down)

The battery is dead and I don't know which is on or off - up or down?
So I'm not sure if the lights were left on.

Sounds dumb but it is not my car so I'm in need of help and quick!

Thanks Natalie

Depends if the switch has been removed and put backin properly. Usually they are installed so the on position is down. However as I said, it could be up, if someone along the road has pulled it apart, and not reinstalled the same way....

easy way to tell, get a jump, when you hook up the jumper cables... if they were left on they will glow faintly until the battery starts to pick up charge.... if they are glowing, flip the switch the other way... let us know how you get along..
