That's right, 95 should have the ign amp by the steering reservoir box or on the DS fender.
Have you done any maintenance on the Rangie (replaced plugs, wires, etc)? How's the fuel filter? Has it been replaced?
More info would help us.

Replaced plugs, wires, etc. I thought of filter, so now that it has been mentioned I will do that. Amazing how many $ can be spent on these rigs. It is a serious addiction.
Off the top of my head I don't know how to check it. I think I have one or two of these amplifiers, I might be able to lend you one to test. Do you ever come into Manhattan?
So when it's warmed up does it shutoff?
Will it restart when it's cold again?
Can you reproduce the symptons everytime?

Once the truck is warm: turn key, it starts up then dies. Turn key starts and runs. It is like clock work every time.
I live in the Hamptons ( bridgehampton ) I try very hard not to cross the shinnecock canal. I used to live on 85th and Columbus. Kind of miss the city though.
There is no real practical way to test the ign amp module for faults. You either identify it by eliminating all other possible causes or swap in a known good unit and verify operation.
Reading more about your problem however I'm not 100% certain that is the problem. Have you looked at the ign switch wiring? They can give symptoms very similar to those you are experiencing.

So I swapped rotor and cap= 0.. Now it doesn't start. Pulled # 2 plug, and have spark. Truck will not fire up!!!!!!!!! Must have pulled the cap and rotor 10 times. Still big 0
