I just bought a 89 Classic yesterday for $150!!!!!!!!!! This makes rover #5 in the fleet. I think I have a sickness! This one has the light grey rims, cloth seats, no sun roof, and a 3.5L Prod. 06/89 Is it a hunter? or grey market? Have any of you seen broken bonnet braces at the hinges? this one is broken on both sides. I would post photos if I could only figure out how.

I believe the only real hunter models were MY 1991. I know some of the early RRs were available w/ cloth seats, and I don't think the moonroof became available till 1991. Sorry to burst your bubble. For $150, I think you'll get over it! Great find! Post pics!

what part of the country are you located? here in the carolinas, they want a grand for any piece of rust just because it says land or range rover on it.
i have been looking for a donor truck to supply my 95 classic with parts in the future, and am just about to give up looking |

thanks for the input, the seats are power, but cloth. My 88 and 90 both have moonroofs, but steel (not glass). I was stummped by the light grey rims (even the spare) as I thought that was an anniversary thing for the 1988.Was the 3.5L avail. for 89? bargecapt, My brother lives in NC and he had a hell of a time finding a good replacement for his rotted out 92. Im in alaska and classics are fairly rare around here.the pics i tried to upload were too many bites? any ideas?

I think its' posted also in the Test forum here but to make a picture smaller:
1. Open the file in Paint (Start | Programs | Accessories | Paint). 2. Click the Image toolbar at the top and select Rersize/Skew. 3. Try changing the values in the resize boxes (change them both to the same number). I normally change mine to 50%. 4. Save the image through Paint and view the size of it. My files normally end up being about 10% (filesize) of their original size and yet are quite clear for an on-line post. |
