Default I am a noob look at my car.

This is my 1988 range rover with a 95 3.9 engine out of a discovery. The old 3.5 had guesstimate of 350,000 miles before it died so that makes this car have about half amiilion miles on it. Headers straight pipe through a magnaflow Springs are super blue with the most recent old man emu heavy duty shocks made. And a Inch spacer overall lift about five inches The paint was done by my self and I also painted the shocks and springs to match the car. The pics are a little old I have added some 5 spoke silver wheels of a discovery And nitto terra grappler tire size 265/75/16 a bit bigger tell me what you think.

Your not a noob you....noob? Um...
Truck looks nice. What kind of paint did you use on the springs?
Do you expect to paint them again?

How does that 3.9 do for you? I was surprised it didn't have a 4.2 in it.

I do believe Disco I had a 3.9 or 4.0 motor in it til they changed to Disco II.
Car looks nice. Just curious, why paint the coil and shock?

I painted the shocks cuz I thought it would look cool and original. I painted the shocks with the left over paint from the car. there is 5 base coats and 4 clear coats on the car the springs are like 3 base two clear. I don't want to paint the shocks again there is a little chipping but overall still looks good. The 3.9 works good might purchase a 4.0 from rover cannibal though.

Default You are correct on the 4.2 motor

Paint job looks nice.
I always wanted to get white RR and was totally against black cars, since it gets dirty so fast and shows everything from scratch to dust....
What type of paint did you use?

I used sherwin williams best paint. Dont know the exact name but chamonix is the color. I bet if you wanted you could just call them and ask. I personally like dupont but this was cheaper. And worked suprisingly very well

Bimmer's and Rover's is how I do it. Nobody makes older suv's that are in my price range not saying a Range rover is I hate jeeps with a passion and wanted something to go off road best 4x4xfar. My dad when I was little always had BMW's so I followed. He bought this Rover so I got it from him after he bought a 95 and I painted and lifted and exhaust. I have a 1981 323i euro grey market with a 2.7 stroker got that for graduation and daily driver is a 1986 325e paid a 1,000 dollars and came with 17's.
