if possible, wait it out a bit before going the cheap route...you may get the heated one...but if you throw in the cheap one, they will only pay for that... good luck!!!

Dude our local news has an "In Your Corner" segment. They have a reporter just especially for this crap. Companies that cheat people, situations very similar to your situation.

I'd lean on them with the lawyer and then the news. Hell even after they paid i'd embarrass them on the news.

It's all in how you SPIN it. And you should be the spin doctor on this one. THat's a damn expensive repair and in NH you will indeed miss the heat windshield.

Well I left 2 more messages for the guy that I'm supposed to talk to at the NH state highway dept. With no call back of course. So I contacted a captain in the Jag corps that owes a brother some favors. He said he would be happy to draft up a friendly letter to them. I also emailed the city councilman for my area and the congressman as well. I will call all 3 tomorrow as well

if you can't find out the highway dept's insurance provider , you can go to their head quarters and personally obtain the information, it is illegal for them to withhold that information if they caused damage to your vehicle. get their policy#. call their provider and fax them the police report they will recompensate you. once you get recompensation insist on OEM replacement. you're entitled .

They sent a guy out to inspect the rover on friday of last week now I'm waiting on a determination. They found the roof panel had been damaged as well. I hadn't even noticed that it was bent down on the passenger side corner.

From the conversation I had with them it seems I will be taking it to a Land Rover approved body shop for a estimate this week.

well the best estimate I got for the windshield was for OE at $950. I can't even imagine the roof panel repair or replacement.

If they send me a check though it's getting a new windshield and I have a good roof sitting on the parts truck. So the extra cash will get put to use somewhere else. Like real tires.
