Default I've Put it Off Long Enough

Time for new gaskets for the exhaust manifolds. There is exhaust leakage and an awful ticking that I first thought was tappets, then catalytic converter, then water pump...but finally narrowed down to one of the manifolds.

So, how do I get the 13 year old rusted, fused bolts out without breaking them???

Thanks,

ChamplainRover

Spray liberally with PB Blaster for 2-3 days before hand. If that doesn't work try a little heat to the nuts...a propane torch woks nicely. Plan on new nuts...oh and apply anti-seize when reinstalling.

Also, if you don't want to reuse the factory locking clip things, (what a PITA those are to reinstall!) make sure you use new lock washers. I've seen seemingly good used ones lose the temper in the lock part and let the bolts back out.
