I have a K&N on my 4.0 for a while......nearly two years. But I think im going to dump it for a paper filter. They seriously do not filter as well as the paper filters do, and the oil in them can kill Rover MAF sensors. I have been hesitant up till now, but next filter is surely going to be a stock paper one...keep the K&N as a backup in case a soak the paper or something.

it was a replacement filter.......I wouldnt dare put a cone filter or some cold air intake (engine compartment) crap in our rigs....thats just begging for your engine to get hydrolocked come your first puddle.

K&N on 3.9 can be bad. Priced a MAF lately for those? I wouldn't do it... I run them on my Range Rover, but it's got carbs. Doesn't filter worth a crud and performance gains are often just placebo effect... they'll be replaced with paper when I get around to it. Ran them on my race car and switched to IPF because the K&N would let anything smaller than another CAR into my carbs.
