Default Key stuck in ignition!

Anyone have any ideas how to remove a key from the ignition switch of a '93 Rover lwb. It is an aftermarket key that has been working fine. It turns to the proper off position but I can't pull it out. Thanks.

It's probly not the key. There is a relay that keeps the key in the ign until it's in Park, etc. I'm not sure where it's located, I just disconnected the wires to that part of the ignition switch that holds the key in on my '93 LWB.

mine does this too, shift the shifter forward until you hear it click then turn the key forward and back, it should come out after playing with the shifter and the key position

hopefully you have it out by now... but if not... get a pair of needle nose plyers... open them slightly to that they fit just over the key... dont close them on the key but push in the center of the ignition switch so that the you can remove the key... many aftermarket keys are to large and will not allow you to push it past the illumination ring or equivalant of that on a county.. once you press the center of the ignition switch in you sould be albe to remove the key... if you have any quesions about my mess above pm me!
