Default Looky what I found in the woods today.

Talk about a rust bucket. This thing has moss growing everywhere. It does however have a high ratio LT95 with a Fairey overdrive and the original twin stromberg equipped manifold, everything I need to bring my Stage 1 back to original and make it a rel highway cruiser. I think I'll stick with my single 4 barrel carb though. My buddy is getting it hauled to his house some time this week and the teardown will begin. The best part is we got it for the low low price of free.

I forgot to mention, it is is sitting less than 100 feet from my house. I've lived here for 4 months and I never knew it was there until last night. I can actually see it through the trees from my driveway.

The rover was sitting in a lot with a bunch of other old junkers. It's located in Kodiak. The owner has a fuel injected truck so thats where the parts came from, it had an injected manifold as well. My buddy picked it up tonight and we talked about parting out whats left. I've got dibs on the overdrive and possibly the LT95. I think it's an 83 or 84. I couldn't see the whole vin number to be sure, the windshield is smashed. I'm hoping to revitalise the dash with some plastic restorer. It would be cool for a newer classic to have a retro dash. I've always liked the earlier interiors. I'll probably post a listing of whatever parts we can get off it soon.

84's and 85's would've had an LT77 5 speed, this truck has an LT95 4 speed, which they had from 1970 until 83 I believe. My 83 Stage 1 uses a lower ratio LT95. I'm really psyced to be getting the overdrive from this one for my 109. It'll turn it into a great long range truck.

Nice find Colin. If the front indicator lamps are one piece units I may be interested in them. I should have a ring and pinion for you by this weekend.
Cheers,
Paul
