Has anyone converted or tried to convert a p38.Had a classic that a previous owner had converted and it ran like a dream,unlike anything that has Lucas on it

looks interesting, but what about a $500.00 plug and play ignition module like a Mallory or similar>?? I have always thought that these engines could put out more HP than they do stock, but then again many manufactures tend to DE tune thier engines to make them last as long as possible..
