The tach could be a connection at the alternator!! Rotors are easy..... It doesn't look to be lifted to me!!!! I like the color.....

Thanks guys'

I checked the connections at the alt but, I will do a better job and clean the connections today.

The rust I found so far were two holes in the rear tailgate hinge area and lots of seams. I'll hose them down with rust nuetralizer and rustolium. The body has a few rashes but no rust.

I'm a sucker for a used vehicle. I will have less fear offroad with a non-perfect body.

The reason I ask about a lift is the front lower spring mounts look raised. Like a piece of square tubing on a plate? I've seen this design on one of the sights as a lift. I'm not familular enough yet.

For tires I think I'll look for a set of rubicon take offs. I watch an old episode of 4x4tv and the ruby has 245/??/16's = 30x10x16

Default Brakes

I was looking at buying the Brake rebuild kit at Rovers North and I think it was going to be like $150 for both the front and rear and a local shop was going to charge me $200 something to put them on. My rotors and pads are rusted and pitted also.

Congrats and good luck and just make a list and do a little at a time. I always shop around and check ebay. We have got a few really nice parts on ebay over the last year at very good prices.

nice rrc! welcome to your new addiction. w/ the heat/ac. heat only blows out of the defrost vents (round) on the top of the dash near the front windsheld and the floor. ac only blows out of the center vents. alot of the item that u listed that dont work r easy fixs (knock on wood) just take your time. main thing is to check all your fluids, filters and etc. u can find owners manuals on ebay time to time and LR just put out a new cd manual for rrcs that has part number, work shop/owners manual all in one. http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/LHP29.cfm
i have the old paper work shop manual but i want to get this new cd manual. good luck

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Well, the brakes are almost done. The rears no problem Fronts were an issue When I bout it the owner through in front calipers. Boy, am I glad he did. Both fronts were frozen. So the pads and rotors are comple but I need to bleed the front lines.

I also fixed the front seat the weld on the front of the seat base broke I wired it up so I can adjust the seat. I'll have to look into a new one or fix the one I have.

Thanks, yeh a little at a time. I need to get it inspected That was the hurry on the brakes.

Wheels were a PITA Stuck on there good.

Your Hunter is Eastnor green and all the green Hunters I've seen look faded. It's fine like it is, I wouldn't even bother trying to wax/restore it just let it get the flat appearance.
You can read the CEL codes under the passenger seat.
Also, if both mirrors are not working it must be your switch...

Thanks for the tip on the paint, but I have one non-faded panel. Probably replaced at one time. I was hoping to get them all matched up. What kind of paint is it? clear coat? Rubbing compound and wax fix it??

I just found the link to the codes but I didn't find the code area yet. Under pass seat. Mirrors arent an issue yet.

I would like to know if I need to replace the entire exterior front door handle or could I get a rear one and just replace the silver potmetal broken part. The fronts are running $50+ and then I need to figure out the key issue. Rear handles are cheaper. PO said he would send me a spare used one?? no idea if it will show up??

I have a switch that I have no Idea what it goes to --- aftermarket toggle and it's above the dome light.

Speaking of dome lite both bulbs are gone and the switch sticks in when pushed.. hmm

As far as paint goes.. it can shine up...But it took me about 10 hours +......... Not worth it, the fade was back in a short time!!!! Door handle, from everything I have seen you have to buy the entire thing....... The sicky switch...... Hmmm.... Put bulbs in..see what happens! do you have a pic of the from spring mod?

Good to know it'll shine but it will have to wait till spring anyway. I was hoping I wouldn't have to replace the whole door handle. I'll pull it apart and look.

"do you have a pic of the from spring mod?" I'm not sure what this means? from=front? no but I will it looks like the perch shown in rovers north for no spring lift. The I though maybe that's normal cause I don't have air bags.

My goal is to run approx 31x10.5's muddies that will take me about anywhere I need to go. Bigger is alway's better but experience tells me not to, one mod to fix the last. I love the look of 33's and 4"

thanks,

bob
