Default My Classics Tilting!!!

i have a RRC '92 model, and it is tilting towards the back, its had a new set of springs + shocks, and even the center shock which i think lies near the middle/back of the car, tires are brand new and pressures correct, what could it be?

cheers

Obviously they fitted the wrong rear springs for the weight in the back. Fit the correct springs and it should sit correctly.

Go take a look underneath and make sure everything is where it's supposed to be.

If all looks well then are the springs brand new land rover or some old used ones?

Maybe the wrong spring seat was used. RRC/DI and DII seat springs are almost the same except the DII are a little deeper and so the spring sits about 1/2" lower.

Another possibility is that rubber isolators were added to the front.

Who installed the suspension? Was it converted from air?

If your car has a tilt you have the WRONG springs in either the front or back. That is, based on the set-up and weight distribution of your vehicle.

Either put in longer/heavier springs in the back or shorter/lighter springs in the front. But you will have to do some calculations to get them right

If they are Landrover OEM springs, they will often have a stripe painted down them. What colour is this stripe of front and rear and left to right.

If you look for the colour and check it to these sites, we will at least know what they have put in it. Maybe they have fitted the backs into the front and visa versa

Perhaps the front and rear springs were mistakenly swapped at the time of installation.

i agree with p rangie you need to figure out what you've got on the front and the back and then compare the free length and weight range . 'it could shed a little light on the matter.
