Looks great Aaron!! Turned out real nice. I like the paint on it, Rhino line style.

Ok, I may seem like an idiot for asking, but I have a mean green 88 rrc and the DIY snorkel has kept me at Home Depot for hours, looking at possabilities....My stupid question...Why is it facing backwards? I would think that it would be harder to get air in....maybe not while crawling but at freeway speed? I am thinking ram air into it.... As I piece mine together in the garage I keep thinking about that and figured I'd ask...

So, then my next question/suggestion would be that the PVC pipe, is it turnable or was it glued on? I am thinking of drilling a hole and putting on a wide clip so that I can pin it forward or pin it backward depending on conditions....
How does it work when it is backwards? Since my RRC can't go diving anyway, I am torn between the side vents and a snorkel..as the snorkel gets me fresh air, the other can get air and let out the heat... or maybe I do both and have 2 heat exhaust ports and 1 high level intake....hmmm |

Same here...I saw the talk of the RR sport vents, but I would like to see them closed....My family is big on the MGA's/B's and spitfires, so I have been looking at some of their little trap doors. I had to explain that a RRC is a british vehicle and that wheeling is a sport...so I did own a brit sport car.
If I could just mount 2 tracks inside the hood, spot glue them in, you could use a 2nd hood to make a sliding door behind the vents, or even just louver it, then in the winter pop the hood and slide them closed....Or, judging by the talent on these pages, run a remote lever to pull/push from inside the cab...maybe even a little servo motor.... Ok, back to work. ![]() |

Not to diss your PVC design there, but if you dont have some kind of cap that will divert water, that intake is going to suck in alot of H2O whenever you drive in rain!!
