Hi all
To anbody in Kent would like a cheap ex police 1988 3.5 efi 5 sp manual mine was siezed by the DVLA last week and will be crushed on 09/09/04 if i cannot pay the fines by then which i cant if anbody wants it i would hate to see it crushed the chassis is excellent the bodywork is good interior is a bit tatty but with grey leatherhowever there is a problem with the engine not firing but i have spent a lot of time and money on it and im sure that with a new starter motor it will go as i have had it giong with a tow start this is what it would cost you £160 fine + £95 Tax + £15 per day storage fee I dont want anything for it the car is in a pound in Belvedere Kent please get in touch if interested kev.purves@blueyonder.co.uk |

Why was it seized and why would it be crushed?

If a vehicle is not "taxed" (road fund licence), The local authororties have total power to impound the vehicle.
It will then be stored at the owners cost until either the owner pays for backdated tax and storage or it will be destroyed or sometimes sold at auction depending on said vehicle. Thats my understanding of the system allthough I may be wrong! ![]() |
