So I got the RTE body lift in and now I believe I have "shaken/knocked" the steering column loose in the column tunnel! I did this after removing all the bolts on my steering shaft and then trying to "tap" it out. (The damn shaft was too long to begin with!) Anyway when you hold the steering wheel "static", (ie: dont let it turn), you can move the column up and down a bit, enough to hear it knock. She now feels "loose and knocky" when you hit some washboard or go over rail road tracks. It started doing this AFTER my dumb - a@# knocked on it so much! Can you tighten anything up on the column? Or maybe adjust something? I also want to thank everyone for helping a newbie out.
Cheers! J.B. emmodg is online now Reply With Quote |
