Yep, Fram is Crap!

I like Wix products. Easiest place to get them is Napa under the Silver or Gold lines.

I hope this doesnt get out of hadn like some OTHER psots on similar topics.

Yeah! Delco makes a real good filter actually. Nothing wrong with it.

mobile filters are also pretty decent but for the most part I stick with napa wix filters.

Yep...another vote for Napa Gold filters.

3.9/4.2= #1452 (long filter)

4.0/4.6= #1068 (short filter)

Are these two interchangeable? Napa doesn't show a 4.2 for a 1994 RRC...but the parts guy and I worked it out. The 1452 fits like a glove and holds the amount that the manual says.

Wix, or Napa Gold by Wix, but NAPA has a nasty habit of unexpectedly changing suppliers.

The Wix number is 51068. There are two others, of higher capacity in case people are interested.
The 51515 (which I'm using at the moment) which is the same except 5.178" tall rather than 4.338"
There is also the 51773 which has a two quart capacity and is 6.982" tall. There can be clearance issues with this one in some applications (I couldn't use it on my D1 with a relocated steering damper).

They all have the anti-drainback valve and 8-11psi bypass valve.

I've been using the 1452 for about 5 years now with no issues.
