hi, Had the car nearly a year, beautiful to drive, looks good for age and handles great, only last month sigh, EAS fault code popped on, local garage reset all fine for 2 weeks again fault code, of course £40 a time cleared again, valve block fault, to replace best part of £700, reset but another week later..EAS again, i threw the towel in on the EAS and had the coil conversion £951, but tried to ease the pain by knowing again no more EAS.
Now after a 2 weeks dash warning EAS fault engine shuts down, other messages one after the other,,,EAS fault/Air bag/traction control/abs, erm you could say not happy..>( rang garage to advise car stopped with first warnning of EAS fault, the coil conversion has a module which tells the becm or ecu the EAS is manual so ignore messages, however unless coincidence since this mod these have appeared 4 times, took to garage no faults so cleared again NO charge yeah! Hmm petrol pump started to play up, searched here and google mileage 129.024 miles so according to info pump knackered as tap tank and you get the nice buzzin sound, £311, yesterday the misses went to pick up the car from garage started first time, 1 mile from home and guess what, EAS fault, followed by airbag/traction control/abs... Yet again fully immbolised the car waited 30 seconds reopened car and got the engine check yay started drove home, infact started a few times no problems, so with little confidence went to local shopping centre, yup you guessed wouldnt restart, tried resetting immboliser, EKA did nothing, called AA, after 2 hour wait AA man arrived besides scratchin his head no idea, then whilst talking to him id left the key fob in the ignition......the disticntive buzz of pump and one look at the dash engine check illuminated its alive drove 6 miles to garage......can anyone suggest what it may be? currently the vehicle is parked outside the LR garage awaiting attention monday morning as they dont work weekends.. i do love this car, would hate to part, but money dictates all as with life ![]() |
