Not a bad looking vehicle. When they move it, take a look at where it had been sitting, it will give you an idea how bad the thing was leaking. As far as the door goes did it just not open from the exterior, did you try it from inside too? Might open from the interior and just have the child lock switched on. If that truck has been sitting for a year on those flat tires, they are junk, and DANGEROUS to drive on!! Use the tires as part of your bargaining. Just make sure everything works on it mechanically and electrically, parts on the RRs can get pricey, and if it is minor stuff use that too for price negotiation. Good luck with your purchase, and let us know how it goes.

The rover looks like it could really clean up into quite the shiner w/ a little polish and cleaning. I think you've got a decent find on this one. Mileage is very low, and even though it was a school vehicle, it shouldn't have been abused as an instructor should have been in the passenger seat every time it was off-road. Get the dealer to replace the tires, then take it for a spin and see how you like it.

FYI, that green one you saw isn't an LWB (note the normal length rear doors), it's the SWB classic.

Glad it has the cargo cover I would be worried about rust if you can actually hear it... the price is high. I THINK anyway. I got mine for 1250 with VERY little rust and 70% tread on the tires. It had 140,000 miles, but with the age of it and the rust the price 3,000+ isn't really worth it. Check Craigslist.com for your area. That's where I got mine, they might have good deals there you can check out!

I use my RR for a daily driver and its great fun! I just want to make sure you have a nice solid car you can DEPEND on! Good luck, and again, welcome to the LR family!

OH and BTW-

If you are going to get a SWB or LWB... I would get the LWB if you don't mind dealing with the air suspension. The SWB, although I love mine dearly, doesn't have as much leg room in the back like I would enjoy. The LWB also have better lumbar support in the seats. So much so that I have country edition seats in mine now so that I can have that extra back support. Got to look after that back of yours!

the RRC looks good inside and out from the pic's. is the price in canadain or usa $$$ and are the miles on the RR in km or miles? i would check online w/ kelly blue book value to see what they priced the RRC at. w/ the back door not opening that happens alot w/ LWB. i talked to some expert LR techs and they told me that LWB doors are to heavy for the hinges that they put on them. i had the same problem w/ my back door it would stick and take some time to up, i just adjusted my stricker and it helped out alot (stick alittle). does your city use salt that could help w/ the rust. i would add the price for some good new tires and ect that need to be fixed and make a deal w/ them. if it has been sitting on the lot for a yr or so it sounds like not that many people want the RRC. how long has the RR been sitting on her rims, if it's been a yr it could cause some damage. good luck and let us know if u get the RRC. how much are they selling those 2 def 90's for (in the pic)?

So I've made the deal !

I am paying 4500$ (USD) for the truck and they are doing a complete tune up of it (changing all fluids, buffing the car, cleaning the interior, replacing every major broken things, ...). They only things is that I need to get new tires !

As for the condition, the floor is in good shape ! Some normal "old-car" rust but nothing more. But the rear bumper is alot more rusted. For the rear passenger door that I heard rust, it was actualy screws inside the door (???). Also, the air suspension works perfectly.

I'll post some pictures when I'll get it home !

Thanks alot for your great help, and I'll need more in the future !
