Default range rover whine

Hi

I have a classic with a classic whine from the lt 230 transfer box, its not worn as such just the normal whine when driving along at about 60-70mph, dont want to add anything in there too viscous as it might damage the transfer box long term, what about wrap around noise reduction kits or any other ideas, its a shame when it over shadows the glorious v8 noise.

many thanks

simon

Simon check this site out.. http://mrmoly.com/ .. was recomended by a sales guy from Atlantic British and have been using it ever since.. I think you need the Mr. Moly Gear suplament for the gearbox on-top of your gear oil of choice.. I think it works well that I even use it on my Ducati ( dry clutch motorbikes only pls ) There are tubes of Lubro Moly that Mecedes and Porsche race teams use but kinda priced up there.. Hope this helps..

Also just check into using a quality synthetic lube...In our cruisers it drastically quiets them down.
