Default Rebuilt brake pump

It turns out the brushes were shot in my brake pump. I had an old no name brand cordless drill laying around. My son used it to start his rc cars with. Well it turns out the bushing and the brushes are the same as the ones in the brake pump. The brushes are a touch longer but with the wear in the area that the brushes ride it worked out great. We will see how long it lasts.

Wow!
Did you take pictures?
That's a great fix.
You may have qualified for the Range Rover Hall of Fame with that if it works.

So far so good. I was able to bleed it and it is still working. I am having a problem with the drivers caliper. It didnt want to bleed out. I pulled the metal line and there was plenty of pressure also alot of black chunks from the other owner using a non brake fluid rated rubber line to feed the pump. It seemed to only have the black chunks on the drivers side. I probally have a really plugged up booster. But the brakes do feel better and the pump shuts down and comes on with about 20-25 pumps of the pedal.
