Default 'reset switch' for stock radio?

a new battery was put in, and so of course my radio needs the anti-theft code, which I have. The problem is that I punch in the code, and nothing happens. Also, when I turn it on, instead of reading 'code' (shouldn't it?) it has '6524' on the readout. I pulled it out, looking for a reset button of some type- to no avail...Help?

It sounds as though you have the wrong code as the radio will function automatically if the correct code is entered, to clear an incorrect entry i think you press the Band button
