RRC brake wear question

Evening,

I put on a new brake kit (rotors f/r,pads, etc with ferodo pads from AB about 200 miles ago. Today, when i looked at the front rotors, they had fairly deep score lines on both rotors right in the middle of the rotor. i could feel it with my nail easily. not having a heavy beast like the RRC before, is this normal? it stops on a dime and straight as an arrow, but it looks like excessive wear to me. i never had this problem with any other vehicle ive done full brake jobs on (about 20 or so). your input is appreciated.
