I like the Camel Trophy replica idea, as much as painting my truck British Army green color, or something camo type.

But I really should get my hood the same color as the rest of the truck.

AHHHH!!! Got ya!! Well then....... I look forward to seeing it!!!! I will be keeping up your progress, best of luck! ......oh, and you must be going all the way on the lift with ~2000.00 I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the finished project!!!

Ok, I am going to try to address all of your comments.
Many of you are right, I am not set out to biuld an EXACT replica, replica is actually the wrong word for it, I was just overly excited when I was starting the thread to give it some thought. It is more of a Type with a personal touch. As some of you mentioned, they had skinny tires, I don't particularly like skinny tires. They also had that brush bar up front, which although not bad, I personally wouldn't use to replace my ARB. On the other hand, I want to have the colour, all appropriate stickers, Similar type roof rack with lighting, so on. I mean the ones they used didn't even have a lift, or much larger than stock tires. Mine will, so to say it is exactly the same would be far fetched, more of a colaboration of new style and old heritage. If that makes any sense. lol. Camel LR are something which should be honoured in anyway possible, as it is the greatest challenge for any 4wd vehicle.

I am not going to paint the rims yellow, not yet, I think it might be a bit out there. LOL as far as remounting the tires, I might, eventually, but right know I have other things to spend 100$ on. It'll have to wait for a little while. Black paint will do, and still give the raised letter effect. We will see.

As far as the snorkel goes, I will be visiting a local muffler shop, and hoping they would bend me a proper pipe for it that I will attach to the base currently present. That, in colaboration with Henry's top should look pretty sweet.

As far as th paint itself goes, I am a little worried whether or not I will completely and utterly like this colour. I mean in the LR Paint catalog it looked authentic and real nice, hopefully it comes out that way. Originally I was going to go with bright yellow(like the XD), but decided against it. Hoepfully this darker more matte yellow will be as nice.

Thank you all for the positive comments and your support.

Ok so here is a shot of the CT stickers for the doors. They are, just like the original, yellow and Green. They will be going on the front doors.

Now, onto the questions where I need your help to decide.
1) DO I put my door trim back, or leave it off? It is not in the greatest shape, but when painted(as seen in the pics) it doesn't look half bad. I am also missing one piece(Back Left door), which should be easy to acquire.
Here is a pic.

Next, I am waiting for the Large LR Green Oval stickers, where exactly do those mount? The weird thing is, some CT trucks have them, others don't. I like them and thought they would compliment it well. Just not sure where they stick to on the rear quarter panels. I've seen them on Disco's mostly which are different.

Next, for the front hood black out, do I paint it? Or should i get an actual sticker for that? Where could I find it ? Does any one have the dimensions so that I can go and have it made locally?

Thanks.

The paint will not hold up on that plastic trim. Buy new if you want it on there. But, seeing as it's cracked all to hell, I would not worry about it.

You have a decent base to work with.

Hank, thank you for the helpful advice, but please don't be an ass. I most likely will not put the trim on until I find a better set.
I second Daway's question.
