Default seats

does anyone else think that the seats in the RRC's r uncomfortable? i just moved from the cities were i walked to work and i have been driving my RRC for 45min drive because i still need to move items from my old place and my right leg and bottom just hurt (3 day only). i have drove my dads '91 long dist. and i dont remember being sore. could the seat be shot? i have a car to use after i am done moving, so i dont add to many miles on my RRC (i just hit 59,032 miles on her and bought her w/ 54,000 last april. is there anything that could be done?

I've got almost 100,000 miles sitting in my seat in my 93 RRC.
I like my seats in the RRC better than my 03 Disco seats.
I guess you've tried multiple configs of the back and the recline angle.

I'm gonna have to say...find a seat you like and then compare the RRC seat to that.
Then maybe you could take the RRC to a shop and have it "fixed" to your liking.

my dad's has about 160,000 on his RRC and they feel ok. maybe the person before me had a heavy frame? i just did not know if the seat has springs that could be shot. i had a '83 saab that i had to replace the springs on the drivers side.

Seats in my 91 RRC are still very very comfortable. No complaints. Drove the truck cross country several years ago and no probs. That being said, they have lost a little of their firmness. The truck is 15 yrs old, the foam and springs in the seat have probably sagged/stretched a little bit.

do u know or anyone know if it is easy to fix the foam and/or springs on RRC front seats? my leather is worn on my drivers side seat to, would it b easier/cheaper to buy a new/used seat? on my '83 saab i had to take the seat off to fix the springs.

If only you were closer. I have a set of seats out of a '94 that are in very good shape. I'd sell them both for $150 but you'd have to pick them up. Shipping would cost more that the seats!

Do you keep your wallet in your back pocket when you drive? I used to drive with mine back there and it would always cause a lot of pain after a while. I drove an RRC daily for 4 years and for the longest time I thought the seats were uncomfortable until I realized I didn't have them adjusted properly. Spend some time playing with position settings until you get one you like. When I went from an RRC to a D1 as a daily driver I had to do the same thing.

I like RRC seats better than Disco I or Disco II seats... but comfort is subjective.
