Can anyone tell me what function is performed by the self levelling shock (mounted on the centre of the rear diff) on the 1988 classic range rover. I have heard that installing sway bars front and rear from a 1989 model helps a lot in improving handling and ride quality. Also, after installing aftermarket coil springs front and rear and new shocks (OEM) my range's ride quality has further deteriorated. Can anyone recommend a coil/shock combination which would ensure a good ride quality (soft).
