I am going to be replacing my rusted out shock towers, and want to replace at least my front shocks while I'm at it. Currently I have Big Blues +3 with Monroes and would like to get longer shocks to go with the springs.
Here's the catch.... I'm broke! I can scrape up a little $ but not much. So my thoughts are: 1. buy two Scorpion Racing +2 front shocks only or 2. buy four ProComps +2 for all four corners Both options are only $150. It's mainly a daily driver, but would like to get more off-road use this summer. Thanks!!!

I'd go for the Scorpions and start saving for the rears. Don't John and Adrian at AG4x4 sell the Scorpion product line? I bet they'd give you the best deal.
When you do the rears you should also change the rear upper shock mounts. If you stiill have the original style that secure the upper shock with a cotter pin. ditch them and buy a pair of the later style mounts. They hold the upper shock on with a bolt. i finally changed mine after years of saying I would. After to broken cotter pins and two lost upper bushings enough was enough. |
