Default Sunroof leak

I have a 89 RRC and wanted to know if anyone has had their sunroof leak? I drove my truck today and it was raining inside and outside of my truck. It sucked. I just had the headliner replace and they told me the drains were fine and the seals looked fine. Any other suggestions?

Is it leaking right at the sunroof seams?

I could be the glass' seal that is mounted to the glass is not all that great.

Do a test yourself. Open the sunroof and pour some water into the drain and see if it backs up and overflows. If it does, blow down the drain holes with compressed air. This should clear the drains. As you don't have Alpine windows and your seals are okay, I cannot think of where else the water could be coming from. Lets know how it works out.

like pat (ragerover) said, check around the seal lines to c if there connected to the sunroof and see if the back of the sunroof is closed down (tilt up side) all the way. my rrc leaks in the back when i get a car wash. i think it is the rubber seal around the sunroof. also open the roof and check around the track to see if something is blocking the drain opening.

It's 17 years old. The seals dry out, crack, and shrink. Time to replace the whole seal. Either that, or duct tape the seam. Shabby chique.

Mine does leak in parts of the windows when I go to the power washer, a little leak at the tail gate.

yeah sooner or later I will have to replace seals.

I'm about to try the compressed air thing. Someone told me to blow up the seal for some good reason I've forgotten.

I'd like all new seals too.... but the greenies whine when you club the baby ones (they are the most pliable.

Well the motor on the sunroof is dead so instead of spending all that money to get it fixed, I just bought a five dollar bottle of silicon and sealed up the outside. This truck is a hunting truck so no big deal.

yeah you blow up to avoid blowing the drain tube off the sunroof itself. Who cares if the seals are bad, as they really dont seal it up anyway. As long as the drains are clear you shouldnt be leaking inside the cab. I still usually have to blow down in the front tubes since they are hard to reach from the bottom. Gordo.
