hola, ok so SWB means short wheel base and LWB means long wheel base. can someone explain this to a person who might not understand the exact difference (me)? and also do you prefer one over the other? advantages of one maybe? thanks.

SWB is 100 inches in wheel base.
LWB is 108 inches in wheel base. Now for off roading you might want the 100 inch for obvious reasons. But the extra 8 inches coupled with the back seat moved back about 3 inches gives the most leg room in any vehicle short of a limo in the back seat. I'm 5'11" and I can sit with my legs crossed and not touch the back of the front seat. |

LWB
SWB ![]() note the difference in the length of the vehicle, particularly the rear doors. a longer wheelbase also gives a better ride, and can have it's advantages off-road.

I am an owner of an LWB, and love it for comfort for the extra length for the back seat. As a matter a fact, I took this one nice girl wheelin' just this night and she wanted to get in the back while I drove, and she loved the extra room. She even said it was like a Land Limo, so to speak, just before I was gonna say that to her.
Advantage of an SWB for off road is the shorter wheel base allows you to get up and over obstacles like rocks and solid ground faster. I found out the other night the disadvantage of LWB with a crunched rear quarter panel, but doesn't mean that because you have a SWB will you avoid these sorta things. Just my 2 cents.
