Default Tailgate Question??

Does anyone know if the classic R/R tailgates are all the same?
Ive been offered one from a 2 door, but will it fit my LSE?

They are all the same size but I thing the latches are different on later ones but you may be able to swap them over

Onz is right. The early ones had external handles and the late ones have internal handles. So the early ones have a slot under the oversailing top section for the handle. Whether you can put a late type mechanism on the early tailgate frame would need careful comparison, (and a suitable hole inside), unless you would be happy to put up with the early type of handle, which on an LSE is a bit agricultural.

I'm sorry, I didn't explain my situation very clearly.
I was meant to put TOP tailgate!

Default Yep

OK so you mean the HATCH!
Same deal as ONZ though - they can come from any RRC, however you need to be aware that the central locking feature was not available on all - if it is just the frame and trim you need that is fine - you can then put all your hardware from the old one on it.

I would suggest that you may want to look in to the aluminium one that can be bought as an aftermarket replacement - IT WILL NEVER RUST!!!!
