Onz is right. The early ones had external handles and the late ones have internal handles. So the early ones have a slot under the oversailing top section for the handle. Whether you can put a late type mechanism on the early tailgate frame would need careful comparison, (and a suitable hole inside), unless you would be happy to put up with the early type of handle, which on an LSE is a bit agricultural.

OK so you mean the HATCH!
Same deal as ONZ though - they can come from any RRC, however you need to be aware that the central locking feature was not available on all - if it is just the frame and trim you need that is fine - you can then put all your hardware from the old one on it. I would suggest that you may want to look in to the aluminium one that can be bought as an aftermarket replacement - IT WILL NEVER RUST!!!! |
