Default Think my radio died....I may have done it?

Well, for starters I have a 93 RRC. I have the factory ADS set-up. Well about two weeks ago, when I started my truck, the radio didn't come on. The anti-theft light was blinking, and the lights would come on, when I turned the lights on. The radio finally did pop on, but over the past few weeks it had gotten worse, and now it won't come on at all . My first thought was the ingnition, but everything else works.. So, I thought maybe the connections were loose, as my left speakers don't work. I removed my radio, and fiddled with the plugs, well stupid me... I did this while the truck was on.... forgetting the fact that it has "ANTI-THEFT" written on it... Now the light doesn't even blink.... Did I kill it for sure, or do I have other problems. I really think the radio was just dying anyway, I just helped it along.... Damn. I may just replace with an aftermarket, and I came across a great post of installing one, while still using ADS.... Anyway...give me your .02 cents!!

i have the aftermarket one to! the person before me put in a pioneer in, did not have any outputs for the sub and amp. so i got a new one a month ago because my wife smelt a burning smell and it was going to die. i got a nice pioneer at cirect city ($180 system on sell for $130!!) w/ 2 out puts and sub out put and i got the ipod adapter and when they put the system in they could not hook up the factory sub/amp. i sold the 6 disc changer sometime ago. i am going to put in a 8" bozooka tub w/ built in amp for under $160.00. it packs a punch and is small to fit in were the the stock amp/sub went and can unplug easy.

that would work. something was wrong w/ some wires and etc. it's a 13 yr old sub/amp and u could get something newer. but if u dont have the extra cash then try it! i still have my factory tweeters and i got 4-4" new pioneer speckers because the factory ones were blown. i just need a sub because the 4-4" speackers r flat (size) sounding and no good bass sound. http://www.sasbazooka.com/productAutoAmplifiedBTsBT.asp here is a link to the bazookas i was talking about and they sell them at cirect city and etc. there good bass for inside sound but if your looking for a sub to hear down the block or etc then there r bigger ones. i just like enough bass but i do not care if the block away hears lol! let me know if it worked

I will let you know, but unfortunatly I am running thin on cash. So I am going to do this project in maybe a few weeks. But....I am also in the process of finishing all of the parts for my lift. All I need is bilistien shocks. I also found out this past week I need a radiator.... So....atleast for now I found a used one out of a 95, for $100.00. I am going to have the old one sealed, and roded out, for a back-up. First things first. Radiator, then radio, then shocks..... maybe reverse the last two who knows. Thanks for the input!
