Default ting-ing sound from front end?!

i have a question about a sound that i have always heard since i got my RRC. when i go over a big bump or brick road and/or ect. i hear a tinging sound from my right front? hard to tell were it is coming from in the front?! i can only hear it when i have my windows down. the sound reminds me of when i was a kid and had a old school bike with a chain guard and the chain was to loose and it would hit the chain guard (tinging). my '93 has the coil covert. i was just wondering if something could be loose or ect. i have to take it in the shop and i just wanted to have some thoughts to tell him when i bring bertha in. thanks for your time.

Drive Flanges????? my series does that, due to worn drive flanges on the front. Need to replace them but am planning on putting on freewheeling hubs in the fall, so hoping they last the summer of offroading...

so i found out what the "ting-ing" is coming from. 1st of all, the front anti rattle springs are worn out and i think the pad could b stuck in the caliper (pads still have some life). which is not a really big problem (clean them out etc...). now the other problem is that the person before me switched to the coil convert. when they did that they put the wahers and bushing on wrong which damaged them. i have to find new washers/bushing which seems to be hard to find. they put bilstein (which last) coil spring which r not as long, not the air spring ones which r the right length. i looked on bilstein web site and could not just find replacement bushings & washers, i might have to call the bilstein dist.? worst case i might have to buy new shocks, the springs that r on my RRC look in good shape!!! does anyone know if i can find the washers and bushing for my bilstein shocks!! i wish the person could have just put those washers/ bushings ON RIGHT, such a simple thing to do!!!! all help would be good. thanks aaron

The shocks are all pin-to-pin?

The fronts are pi-pin, the rears are pin on the bottom. Shock bushing is a shock bushing.... doesn't have to be a certain brand.

[quote=Muddy Oval]The fronts are pi-pin, the rears are pin on the bottom. Ok, just wanted to make sure since it's a conversion from air bags to coils.

So you need 6 sets of pin bushings and 2 sets of eye bushings. I'll check today and see if I have them.

Aaron, here's a pic of three different shocks. You'll notice the body is different but the stems are all the same size. As Steve mentioned above the bushings are pretty much all the same event though the shocks are different brands.
