I need to get tires for my (new
) 1994 LWB Range Rover. I've read alot on rangerovers.net and on the forum but I don't know what size to choose... I've got a deal on BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A and I am looking for these 3 sizes: - 225/70RR16 C - 225/75SR16 D - 235/70QR16 C Wich size should I get ? I have the air suspension and I am planing to keep it for the moment ... I live in Canada, so that means chances of heavy snow and I want to off road in the summer. Thanks in advance ! i put some 285/75/R16 radial all terrains on my 94 rover an they barely fit, i have the old man emu suspension so it gives me a little more clearance but so far i love the tires...i only put 2 on the back because the other ones wont fit on the front, steering becomes pretty sensitive at high speeds bc the front tires are smaller an skinnier

the front tires are slightly larger than stock, they are 255/75/r16...it looks pretty obvious that the back tires are larger than the front, im going 2 put the new 285s on the front 2 once i install my big blue springs

Ryan, you shouldn't run two different size tires on a four wheel drive. They rotate at different speeds and cause great strain on your differentials. You have almost 2" difference between the tires. Now, one more thing to think about when going to bigger tires. An inch or two difference in tire diameter will effectively change the gearing. Rangies are already geared fairly high at 3.54. If you go with really big tires (for example 285/75/16 which is basically a 33") you will effectively drop your gearing to 3.13. This is pretty tall for a heavy vehicle with a small V8. Just food for thought.
