My RRC has been giving me trouble
*first off, about everyother time I start driving, when I hit the accelerator, I just creep along at about idle speed for around 5-10 seconds before I get power --->if I take my foot off the gas while moving, I start this process all over again. Will often flat out die--> see below *&, if I sit at a stop light for long enough it will lurch when I hit the gas & die. *&, when I park it after a stressful drive, and let it sit with the engine running, it will behave for a minute or so before the engine starts reving itself on its own all the way up to about 1700rpm's... if I touch the gas pedal, the engine cuts off & will not start for anywhere from 2-45 minutes *& my engine warms up rather fast, (see new parts below)... I am going to change the thermostat this weekend... after that? In the last week, I have replaced the fuel filter, fan & clutch, air filter, ignition cap, rotor, wires and coil. -Mason Help???? |

my RRC did does that to (the 1st part) were it takes a second or 2 to get some power, but it has not done that for awhile? mustly in the winter. i changed the breather filter (pcv valve cover ventilator) after i did that i felt the RR get a faster pick up. i read that could cause major oil leaks (if it is to clogged)www.rangerover.net. i don't think would be your anwser? i had alot done to it in the last month, oil coolent line replaced, and ect. other filters u could check if your tune in up your RRC, rocker cover filter (small round filter), air intake filters (3) above hood (my filters above hood were falling apart). let me know what u find out.

I know that the seal there is important to idling and running.
Just use some brake cleaner on a rag. Clean the piston point and try to clean the seat inside the plenum. |
