When I start up my 4.2L 95RRC, the RPMs jump to like 1500 then down to some RPM (sometimes 500, sometimes 600, sometimes 900, etc.). If I drive for a while and stop a light it could read 500 and barely idle. The next light I come to it could be 1000 or 900 or 700 or whatever. Is this behavoir normal? If not, any idea what's causing it? The IAC valve is fairly new and clean (so is the seat where it sits), the T piece and hoses are clean, and the base idle has been adjusted.
Appreciate all help! |
