If I posted " Have 1991 RR with transmission problem and have changed fluid and filter" what would you think ? (No, I don't need answer.) Would it not be helpful to describe the current conditions and thiose leading up to occurance, as well as, observations such as fluid color, odor, or presence of metalic flakes ? <I did notice end of axil hanging down on ground...>
How do you know you have ignition problem ?
There are five areas I can think of that could be considered. Air, fuel, spark, exhaust, and control/measure.
Air: filter, leaks, valves not working (EGR), idle stepper motor
Fuel: injectors, fuel pressure, pump, filter
Spark: I think you almost nailed this section (you did not replace distributor, worn shaft or bad detector could be issue.) You never said anything about the condition of the plugs such as color and gap/mileage.
Exhaust: unlikely, (is catalytic converter dead causing restricting ?)
Control/measure: Need to scan codes on ECU.
My guess, based on nothing, is Air.
Analyze first...replace parts last.
That's all for now....Glenn 1991 RR with 169K miles.
