Default What parts to keep

Well the board is a little slow so I thought I would ask this question.

I am 95% sure we are going ahead with our project: Making one nice rover from 2 95 RRC SWB, both white and tan. One has perfect body, no rust but blown engine. The other rust on the body but perfect interior and drivetrain.

I have decided to keep the rust free rover and put in the good drivetrain and interior from the Rover that has the rust.

Question is: What other parts would you take off to keep or sell before I take it to the junk yard?

Thanks!

keep any good accessories. like your abs pump, power steering pump, alternator, you'll never know when you'll need another one of those and they are expensive. I would personally keep a spare of everything but i if you don't have a lot of storage space just go with the expensive stuff.

Keep them all!!!!!
Buy a connex box and store them.
You should invest in a computer system too. That way you can catalog all the parts, cause when you get older you will forget what you have and where you put it.
If it is a computer or is a sensor for a computer keep it for sure. Put all the parts in freezer bags and label the bag with a Sharpie. You'll thank yourself later for that.
Keep anything that controls something else. All the relays, ECUs (windows, locks).
Keep the door actuators for the locks, heater core, air condition parts.

I'm just trying to think about all the parts I've gone down to Rover Cannibal or had to buy in the last 7 years.

I would keep the axles, at least 1 CV if newish, the diffs, the glass, upper tailgate if rust free. Trying to think of what breaks. Not sure what when wrong with the motor, but if good, I would keep the viscous coupler, maybe the water pump. Especially since its a 95 keep everything that you could possibly fit in storage. Make sure the oiled components are kept lubed, and the sensors and ecus kept dry as above.

Sounds like fun , good luck and take lots of pics. (i didn't and wish I had more of a build diary)
