Default What tires should I get?

Time has come to get new tires for blue balls...

just would love some advice on which ones are the best for my classic.

I do some offroad... nothing too serious. Mainly driving on dirt roads and main highways ect.

I'm the type of consumer that I would rather pay more for something if it is going to last me longer just so I don't have to deal with it later.

Thanks again for your advice!

I got a good deal on these Pathfinder All Terrains for $730 and comes with a 55,000 mile warranty, plus free replacement for the life of the tire. Also I get free wheel balancing and rotation at the dealer I got them from, Discount Tire Co.. Pricey, but they work great!!! They come a variety of sizes so, I think you can get a good choice of what you want.

BFG ATs or MTs would be the way i'd go. Probably the ATs if you do many many more road miles than offroad miles. Know of people who have had 90,000 miles out of a set of BFG ATs - that to me is value for money!!

I have BFG MTs and love them, great on road excellent offroad!

X2 on the BFG AT's not the MT's since you don't do that much wheeling. I swear by both but run the MT's because of the amount of 4wheeling I do.

Aye that's why I run MT's too! Also know of someone who has got 75,000 miles out of his BFG MTs which is still pretty damn good in my books!

I like the Cooper ST or the Dunlop Rover RT. They seem to be a good "in between" AT and MT.

We have had pretty good luck out of the BFG AT tires. For snow and more on road than off, the Firestone Destination AT is excellent, too. It doesn't air down as well as the BFG, but it is quiter and handles a bit better. The Destination MT was a lot better than I expected, and I wish I had more time to evaluate them. The Michellin AT is an excellent tire on trucks, and lasts forever, but I haven't had them on one of the Rovers.

x5 on the bfg at's ... they are more expensive then the rest of them, but they'll last the longest.

X100 on the BFG AT's...I thought it'd be different than the stock 18s on road but it's the same and wayyyy better offroad.

Hehe, I think most favor the BFG AT's JungleRR. I would be totally for them, although I could've, would've, should've gone for them for $100 more than the Pathfinder AT's I have now.
