I'll have to take pics later today. It was late when I got home.

Lots of little thing wrong. But I got it a lot lower than asking. And I was still about to walk away. Only real rust I can find is the rear valance 2 area are bad. Looks repairable.

I will say the biggest push to but was the ride quality. More power than I expected. It rode nicer than my fathers 95 chevy 1500 2wd long bed ext cab. And that thing rides like a cadilac.

No problem after a 70mile trip home.

I'll start a new post when I get the pics.

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. It's been very helpful and I look forward to seeing your pictures.

A couple of questions related to year slection, Do people prefer the air suspension of the newer models or the coils on older rigs? Do people have a preference from the newer 4.0L engine or the '93 '94 4.2L engine (I think I got those years correct)

finally, I unintentionally asked people to compare the newer P38 to the classc on the p38 forum. To keep things balanced, here is the link to my other thread. Buying a Range Rover P38 versus classic

EDIT: I just read through the entire post and saw that you already bought one, but I'll leave this up if anyone else is looking.

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, but you might take a look at these off the texasrovers.com website....I think they are all in San Antonio for sale by the same guy - I have no knowledge of the vehicles though.

p.s. I have a 1992 base model and I love it - basically a hunter with leather and sunroof, no abs, no sway bars, and not much else..but I still have the BW xCase and 10 splines.

3. - '89 RRC Brown $1,000

#1: '89 RRC White in very good condition, very clean, new headliner, new air conditioning, 90% new tires, very stock condition. Everything works. Mileage about 125,000. This was a very well care for Classic. Drives great. Driver's seat worn as usual, all other leather good to excellent. Nice looking stock daily driver.

#2: '90 RRC White in very good condition, no major dings, very clean, new air conditioning, brand new rebuilt upper end; new composite head gasket, new water pump, new steering pump hose. Mileage about 165,000; Tires 30% useable; headliner good, Duramat sound proofing installed everywhere on it; 2" lift kit under the springs; factory Bull Bar, Hella Lights. front spoiler removed (but available). Rover's North heavy duty side steps; Interior has wood trim dash and consoles pieces, leather console coverings. Drives great. Driver Seat worn as usual, all others good to excellent. Daily Driver with a little more off road attitude.

#3 - '89 Rover - more of a parts/beater - engine runs, transfer case doesn't engage; missing some parts, front right fender damage;... I bought it for parts but have decided to make it into an offroad beater if I sell one of the above. $1,000 but available. Parted out it's worth a lot more than this - just the engine and trans are worth the price.

Hello, my advice is go for a LWB. I like my hunter but a few extra inches woiuld be nice. Also look for a rig that is being driven. Trust me on this one they don't sit well. I like to work on my trucks so there is a learning curve for me. I'm getting there, but I'm finding lots of neglect issues. Corroded wires and lack of maint.

I still love the ride I don't have an air ride to compare it to, but from other vehicles I've been in these LR's ride sweet.

good luck put about $1000 on the side for general maint stuff. I'm used to ordering things online. most shops don't carry LR items. Or they don't know how to crossreference items, (except the local napa)

good luck
