I'm in the Chattanooga area and looking for recommendations on independent shops specializing in Rover repair. TIA.

Thanks, I remember Outback but not sure where they went. Any idea?

I've been using The Shop in Atlanta, but really was hoping to find something close to home, because a tow to ATL won't be agreeable.

not much is wrong currently, but preparing for when I have to call the tow truck, I'd like to ensure she's well taken care of. Main issues right now are low end fluid leaks (oil, PS, and coolant) that I'd like to fix and ignition switch replacement with matching door lock. EAS is 3 years old and is functioning fine, but right rear seems to be causing the compressor to run quite a bit. Eventually I may just go to coil overs to reduce the stress but I'd like to keep the EAS running if possible.

I see what you mean. Here's a good link: http://www.rangerovers.net/service/index.htm

You mention distance but I know a repair shop in Cleveland I stopped by once. The guy's wife drives a Disco and he's an all-around import guy, you might want to add him to your contact list. Like I said, I've never used the guy but assume he's pretty familiar considering the picture on his website has both a Defender 90 and Discovery in the parking lot but I do know he's a very nice guy.

Also, you are a mountain biker? I like to consider myself as a beginner, I ride a Specialized basic rim-brake Hardrock. It's maiden voyage was actually right down by you at Enterprise MTB. Sweet place.

Do you plan on wheeling your Disco? I'm at UT so if you ever want to go wheeling (MTB or Land Rover) give me a shout! Also, check out Tennessee Rover Enthusiast Community | Main Page. This is our TN club located in Cookeville.

Welcome!

-Alex

thanks to all for the input...

Honda50r--what is the shop in Cleveland you are referring to? Do you have a name or website? and yes, anytime you're down this way, let me know and we can ride Raccoon Mountain or Edwards Point. They're a little more technical than Ent South, but you should be fine as long as you have the leg strength.

Sorry, I got too caught up and forgot to post the link. Www.importservicecenter.com. I tweeted them about servicing Rovers and received this reply, "Yup we do Land Rovers, but limited repairs. Diagnostics, light maintenance....sorry no heavy driveline or motor jobs
