Angry where is the warning label i have to have missed it

ok yall where is the warning label that states "Warning this vehicle may for no reason at all deluge the drivers legs with boiling hot coolant" so that brings about a few questions.1,if the heat was off why was hot coolant circulating in the cab part of the heater,2,how hard is the heater core to replace,3, where is the thermostat on an 89 range rover and lastly does anyone know a good burn treatment center and do they give a discoount to range rover owners?

Ouch!
Coolant always circulates through the heater core unless a block off valve has been installed. A door/flap is what warms the air if you want warm air or cold air by directing the airflow over the heater core.
I'd suggest searching this forum or rangerovers.net for the "how-to" part.

Welcome to the worst job on the truck! Make sure you check that fan while you are in there, and seriously consider replacing it even if its ok.

In 1990 they came out with a improved heater core under part number STC250.

This failure happened enough that there should have been a recall. There was one on Renaults Alliance for the very same thing.

You will notice when you get the replacement that it is made of METAL and not plastic.
