So Ive done a little searching and think that I have figured out the solution. However, I figured I would run it by you guys first before I buy something.
The problem: My wipers will not go into intermediate mode. They work fine on the low and high setting but when you turn the wipers off they will not return back to thier resting position. They just stop wherever they are on the windshield. The were working great earlier this evening and when I came out from dinner they started acting up. What I think the solution is: I searched and found a guy that had a similar problem. Someone told him that it was the stop switch on his wiper motor and he would need to replace the whole unit. There was no follow up to say that this was his problem or not. So do I need to replace the entire wiper motor or what? Could it be the switch or a relay?? Any help would be appreciated. Im glad they are still somewhat working but the problem is really annoying.

I had this problem and all my research said bad wiper motor. Changed it twice with used motors that were reported to be good. Mine turned out to be the wiper relay in the dash. So I would try the relay first.... cheaper & easier, cause it's a PITA to get to the wiper motor.

Thanks for the replies guys.
So this morning the wipers are back to normal and are working fine. This concerns me because now I am thinking there may be a short. Water is probably getting into something causing this. I guess I will start pulling everything apart this afternoon.
