The steering wheel is on the wrong side. I am not sure whether the front seats are original as over here the seat belts were built into the seats themselves. It has been resprayed recently so have a good look at the body for repairs. Check around the frames of the doors for rust. The chasis looks well lubricated, so probably no rust there.

Check for cracks around where the suspension and body mounts are welded to the main part of the chasis.

p76 I appreciate all the input. What makes you think it has a new paint job? Isn't the body all alluminum therefore rust free. I know the floor and tailgates etc.. are prone to rust but didn't think they actual body was. I might be wrong on this obviously. As far as the streering wheel goes well I can't seem to find one with it on the right side here in the states guess I will just have to settle.

Aluminium still corrodes where it contacts metal. Usually in the bottom corners of the door. But was I was more referring to was dents rather than rust.

There appears to be white overspray on the seals around the windows and the door handles and other areas. Compared to say the drill and bumpers, the paint job looks a lot newer than the rest of the car.

I am an unfortunate starter witness to the aluminum corrosion on my LWB, it started a bit back and it is starting to bubble on the bottom of the front passenger door.

If someone did repaint that truck, it looks pretty good. Then again white is by far the cleanest color out there, so it is rather hard to see blemishes. But still looks decent.

The steering wheel is on the wrong side. Well spotted p76.

Smileyq....compared to mine which is only a year older, she is in pretty much
the same condition. I would not worry too much about a respray - the truck is 25 years old after all. From the pics it looks as if you have a overdrive knob in there - lucky you - mine does not have that. You also still have your rear windscreen wiper - altho it does seem to be about to wipe the roof and the window . Underneath the usual suspects all seem to be at work to keep the chassis well anointed with precious oils.

Other than that I'd say buy her. These 2 doors are very rare so bear that in mind if you are thinking of converting her into a hummer look-a-like. In a recent price guide I saw in a UK magazine the 79-83 model 2 doors are selling for double that of the early 90's models.

A minor issue but, is it me or are the front indicator lights on upside down? I know those appear to be the older two piece indicators but I always thought that the amber light was on top with the clear light on bottom. The catalog I have from 1975 has the indicators that way.

Nevertheless, it appears to be in pretty good shape for its age. If you buy it, don't turn it into a monster truck. They're just to rare to ruin that way. If you want to turn a Range Rover into an offroading beast pick up an '87 or '88 and got at it that way. The two door you're looking at should be restored rather than destroyed. After twenty five years it deserves better.

Ummm Canada lol or maybe umm Arkansas yea thats it. I'm going to offer him 4k for it because there is no telling how many miles it has on it. The odometer hasn't worked since 41,000. I haven't even looked at the engine yet so you know.

Terry, it's got to be somewhere in Nashville. What are you doing this afternoon? Want to take a long ride? This is one I'd go in on with you (and I promise not to part it out (although that lower tailgate would work perfectly on my old Rover...and I do need a hood with those hinges!!!)). It's a lot more interesting that that GDE you were looking at.

the thing doesn't run for more than 10 mins as i'm told and you know I'm at LRN alot. Most of the service guys said they can't get it to run for too long plus why would you beat on a classic rover like that. But i doubt ronnie will do 4k because he has probally put money in it to fix it up

Did you hear that Terry, it's at Land Rover Nashville. We don't even have to go there. Just call them up and put it on your credit card!!!
