Those old Strombergs are probably shot. I know mine were. Buy the truck and get an Edelbrock 1404. You'll never look back.

Keep the ol carbs... put new throttle shafts and bushings in the carb bodies. Those carbs run at any angle and are dead simple.
The 2 door rangie is the most fun Rover to drive there is. The D90 is a close second and only because of the convertible top.
If you bash up that thing or pimp it with silly offroader crap I'll hunt you down and beat you.

There is no money in it at all it is as is. They haven't looked at it and aren't planning on it. I'm just so interested because its a classic and can be a restored to something awesome!!

I'll be down in Nashville this coming week so I could drive it back up for a small fee. Wait... what am I talking about, that would look sweet next to my silver classic. I really like how white and silver go together.

I hope you purchased or least made on offer on this beast.
My cousin used to cruise down the interstate in his MG Rover with the steering wheel on the "wrong side". Got a kick out of other drivers staring at the empty space where the driver normally sits states side......

The best is to drive around in a right hand drive truck with a large dog in the left seat...

You saved me from having to make pictures to show my wife! I spent about 30 minutes looking over it today. Even called my wife from the lot. I spoke with Doug Walton about it a bit. He said it would hardly run when the guy brought it in. I think it's doing a bit better now. New points and the correct placement of the distributor did the trick. I didn't get to hear her run as it was near closing time. I think that's the first 2 door I've seen. She seems to be in pretty good shape for her age. There were several smallish dents in the roof mainly. Possibly hail or fallen tree damage. There was a little rust starting under the floor mats, but no noticible water stains anywhere. I think she would look pretty good after a good polishing and waxing. I wish she could be mine!

I've got several other projects going on now that need my time and $$$. Bad timing for me. 6 months down the road and I probably would have made an offer on it. You'll have to post pics when you get her all cleaned up.
