as you may have seen from my previous thread, my mom wants me 2 sell my car but i dont want too!! soo im gathering some info as 2 why i should keep it..
haha i may not want to know the answer to this question, but..how much do yall spend a year on maintainance and repairs? and what kind of maintainance and repairs do yall do yearly? this past year iv spent $800, well now around $1000 bc of a rear diff i had 2 get because my last one got torn to pieces...iv done regular oil changes, radiator flushes, replaced oxygen sensors, fuel filter, replaced thermostat, changed out brake pads, replaced all power steering hoses, tinted my windows, new oil pressure sender, all new spark plugs, and replaced the rear differential. im 18 years old and iv really suprised myself by how i can repair my rover, iv studied every part of it and im always wanting 2 learn more (with the help from you guys!!!).. anybody got some awesome reasons why i should get 2 keep my rover?

Here's one thing I've learned...If off-roading is going to be your past time, you'll spend more money fixing up another truck than doing it in a Rover. They are strong and you REALLY have to beat them up to break them. I have only broken exhaust pipe brackets while off road. Besides that, minor scratches on the side but ANY off road vehicle will have those. If you're going to do something, do it right =)
Besides off roading, its a Luxury vehicle on which YOU can work with without having to spend money at a shop while they do it for you for a ridiculous amount of money. ANY other car will have problems and will require maintanence. SPECIALLY anything out of Europe. KEEP your truck!

A 1994 ANYTHING will need fairly constant replacements of wear parts whether it is a Range Rover or a Chevy pickup or whatever else. Replacing a diff isn't all that common though.
$1000 over the course of a year is less than $100/month. That's nothing, and you're driving a friggin NICE truck

I'm at around 4500 for the year, maybe more.
Rear end/brakes/calipers = 1600 header leak = 100 Fuel Pump/etc. = 1200 random stuff I can't remember = 400 I'm at around 3300 for the year, my tires are bald, and I still have a header leak and need a 160k service, in total I still have about 1700 of repairs before august, so I'll be at around 6k for the year. Thank's mom!
